Here’s what you need;
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup of sorghum flour.(preferably Winnie’s if in Kenya)
- 1L of water of water
- 3 teaspoons moringa oloifera powder
- 1 tablespoon hibiscus powder
- 1 teaspoon stinging nettle powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 lemons
- 1 teaspoon organic dark Cocoa powder (optional)
How to do it;
- Mix all the dry ingredients i.e sorghum, moringa, hibiscus, turmeric, and nettle (except cocoa powder)
- Add the 750 ml of lukewarm water to the mixture
- Add 1/4 cup of cold water
- Stir the mixture
- Pour 2 cups of water in a pan, bring it to boil
- Add the mixture to the boiling water
- Stir for 10 minutes until ready
- Squeeze the lemon juice and add to the mixture and stir for one minute
- Sprinkle dark cocoa powder
- Sweeten with non-white sugar, stevia, or agave nectar
- ** You can also sprinkle some granola on top to garnish
What you gain; Moringa oloifera improves metabolism, you get a good dose of protein and fiber, hibiscus gives you iron. and stinging nettle is full of iron, calcium and fiber plus tones of benefits, and cocoa powder gives you all the awesome antioxidants to combat free-radicals that toxify the body.
